Sanal pursued a three-year postgraduate course in Sound Recording and Sound Design at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune, where he gained expertise in sound recording, editing, mixing, and design for films and television. To further expand his knowledge, he attended the Asian Film Academy (AFA) in Busan, South Korea, as a Fellow in Filmmaking, a prestigious program under the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF). His education at these esteemed institutions provided him with a strong foundation in both the technical and creative aspects of sound, shaping his approach to immersive audio storytelling.
